The Walk

I can no longer live in the usual way, paying rent on stolen land, and every cultural institution rolling over to privatised control, so I will be experimenting with how to live knowing what order of catastrophic climate changes are headed our way.

So I’m walking away.

To where I don’t yet know, but there are plenty of people-local people-doing some amazing things in light of these challenges, so I will be listening to, and talking with local people, interviewing those who’s stories and dreams they wish to share, discussing just what works in particular locations and cultural contexts, building an archive of What Happened Here, What’s Happening Now, and What’s Doing.

The National walk is 14,500 km, following the national highway.

Good luck on your walk Mike. Something I thought about doing in the 60’s, but didn’t. All credit to you for doing this. It can only bring good….

It’s a long way to go, but I wish you all the best.
